TxCEIA awards two students a $500 scholarships each year!

  1. The Jimmie Henslee 2-Year School Intern Scholarship Award

    • One (1) $500 scholarship to a student attending a 2-year technical institute or community college.

  2. The Bob Foley 4-Year School Intern Scholarship Award

    • One (1) $500 scholarship to a student attending a 4-year college or university

Interested students should complete the appropriate application below.

Application Elgibility:

  • Student must be attending a TxCEIA member school.

  • The Campus Career Services Advisor or Campus Internship Coordinator must also be a present TxCEIA member.

  • The student must be participating in a relevant work experience that is an internship, co-op, or practicum during the academic year indicated:

    • Summer

    • Fall

    • or Spring


 TxCEIA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION

The application period is open from November-May, each year.

Please ensure that all required documents are included in your submission. Only the initial submission by the applicant will be taken into consideration.

Required Documents:

  1. Cover letter (example in application). 

  2. Resume (example in application).

  3. Unofficial Transcript

  4. Work experience essay; not to exceed one page and include one of the following topics:

    • Address what lessons you learned because of the internship.

    • Experiences gained/enhanced because of the internship.

    • Skills developed during your work experience.

    • Address your long-term career aspirations and how the work experience helped you achieve them.

  5. Employer Acceptance Letter for the internship (i.e. employer letter, email confirmation, or job evaluation).

  6. Member Institution Letter of Recommendation. 

    • Letter must be from a career services staff member or internship coordinator from your attending member school. 

    • Staff must be a present TxCEIA member.
