Our primary purpose is to foster the professional exchange of co-op and internship ideas between institutions of higher education and cooperative education and internship employers.

Under the guidance of our esteemed board members, TxCEIA aims to accomplish the following key objectives:

  • Broaden Understanding: We strive to increase awareness of the value and impact of cooperative education and internships among employers, educators, and students alike. By sharing best practices, we can demonstrate the immense benefits of these programs.

  • Strengthen Collaboration: Through active and ongoing interchange of ideas and experiences, we aim to enhance the functioning of cooperative education and internships. By fostering collaboration between educators, employers, and students, we can create enriching learning experiences.

  • Be a Knowledge Hub: TxCEIA aspires to be a comprehensive source of information about cooperative education for various stakeholders, including the employment community, higher education staff and faculty, and organizations seeking to implement cooperative education and internships. We believe that disseminating knowledge and resources will further advance the practice of co-op and internship programs.
